This community has 40 units comprising of 2- and 3-bedroom townhomes.

​

Members are responsible for attending general meetings, complete 1 hour of volunteer work to the Co-op per month and serve on at least one regular committee.

 

Please ensure you have availability to adhere to the Co-op’s Occupancy Rules.

 

All pets must be registered with the Co-op, limited to 2 per household – Pets, Small breeds – Maximum height is 20 inches to the shoulder, all dogs & cats must be spayed or neutered. Proof must be provided, no pit bulls permitted, exotic animals must be approved by the board and be in compliance with the municipal by-laws regarding them.

All household animals are conditional to the Pet Policy.

 

A share purchase is required for membership in the amount of $2,000.00 for 2 & 3 bedroom units. These funds are required prior to move in. This money is refundable in full, without interest, at the termination of your membership in the Co-operative, providing no outstanding monies are owed and there is no damage to your unit.

 

Two (2) calendar months written notice is required for termination of membership.

 

Applications are kept on file for a period of one year. At the end of the one-year period, if you want your application to remain on file for a further six months, please notify the Co-operative in writing and indicate any relevant changes. Your name is placed on the waiting list when your application is received. If there is a vacancy, you will be informed and invited to attend an interview.

SHARES

Shares must be paid in full prior to move-in by money order. The share purchase entitles the member to vote at General Meetings; sit on a committee and the responsibility to participate. The shares are refunded on move-out providing no money is owed to the co-op and the unit is left in good condition.

CABLE & PHONE

Members are responsible for their own cable and telephone, however we do have a coop rate through CHF BC and Telus. You will get this information in your Binder once accepted.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Other adults, 19 years or older, living in the unit may become associate members; the associate share purchase is $10.00. Associate members have the same rights, privilege and responsibilities as the principal member. Associate shares are refunded on move-out.

INSURANCE

Members are required to have household insurance. Proof of insurance must be submitted to the office prior to move-in and proof is required annually thereafter.

HOUSING CHARGE PAYMENTS

Automatic Bank Withdrawn or Post-dated cheques must be submitted prior to move-in for the fiscal year – September 1st to August 1st.

COMMON ROOM

Common room may be used for private functions; the member is responsible for any damages.

HYDRO & GAS

Members must establish an account with B.C. Hydro  & Fortis Gas to be effective on the move-in date.

PARTICIPATION

Members are expected to participate; sign up for committees; attend work parties; keep common areas tidy. Members must familiarize themselves with the Occupancy Agreement, Rules of Association and Policies in Member Manual.
